[August] Procurement Insights Roundtable ⚙️ Purchasing Process Woes ⚙️
Purchasing in Public Procurement Doesn’t Always Go As Planned —Let’s Talk About It!
It’s a tale as old as time. A government or agency needs a product or service, so it goes “to the market” to procure it. Sounds simple enough—but anyone involved in public procurement knows it rarely is. There are often roadblocks that sometimes cause procurement processes to slow down and timelines to shift — which can directly impact outcomes!
From change orders caused by unclear requirements or budget/pricing adjustments to unexpected bid protests that delay awards, there are plenty of “process woes” that can complicate even the most straightforward purchase.
That’s why we’re bringing together the PEN community in a roundtable to share challenges, exchange ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences. Join fellow PEN members for a dynamic 90-minute session, connecting with up to 40 peers to discuss some of the following themes:
- Common roadblocks and challenges that make purchasing in public procurement complicated
- Explore experiences and promising practices for navigating change orders and bid protests
- Any questions, ideas or recommendations you want to share with your peers
Who Should Attend? If your role directly involves developing or supporting bids/solicitations, this conversation is for you (e.g., Purchasing Agents, Supervisors, Buyers, etc.)!
Invite your colleagues and join the conversation—you won’t want to miss this session!
SPACES ARE LIMITED – Registration closes after 40 participants sign-up!
