Leslie Howitt

Associate

Leslie Howitt is an Associate at Partners for Public Good (PPG), working on the research team to ensure PPG’s research benefits governments and the field at large.

Prior to joining PPG, Leslie was a data analyst for the Utah Indigent Defense Commission, improving Utah’s criminal, juvenile, and family defense programs and working toward a system where defendants had access to the effective and zealous defense attorneys required by the Sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Early in her career, Leslie worked in marine biology for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, transitioning into data management for their Seafood Watch program, and then data analysis for FishWise, a sustainable seafood nonprofit. She holds a Master’s of Research in Marine Biology from Plymouth University in the U.K. and a B.S. in Ecology and Evolution Biology from Brown University.
