Tara Woody
Tara Woody is a Procurement Innovation Associate at Partners for Public Good (PPG) supporting the Procurement Innovation Accelerator program, which partners with high-performing cities in ideating, designing, and launching major, resident-facing procurement reforms. She also helps administer PPG’s skill-building workshops and learning cohorts.
Prior to joining PPG, Tara spent more than eight years at the City of Philadelphia in various roles. Most recently, she led the City’s innovation portfolio that included innovation grant programs, training for design thinking and other practices, and internal consulting work to support process improvement and creativity in government. In her previous roles with the City, Tara managed the development of Safe Routes Philly, Philadelphia’s transportation safety education program, and Philadelphia’s first Permit Navigator tool. Before her time in local government, Tara managed grant programs in the civic education space after several years of teaching civics and history to high school and middle schools students.
Tara holds an M.P.P. and a B.A. in Anthropology, both from Temple University.
