Future FOIA Workshop on AI and Public Records

Future FOIA is an initiative of Partners for Public Good, the GovAI Coalition, and the Cities of Long Beach and San Jose, supported by Knight Foundation’s Knight Cities Challenge. On December 10, alongside the GovAI Coalition Summit, we’re hosting a half-day, in-person workshop of facilitated discussions, panel conversations, and hands-on activities to tackle public records challenges and explore where AI can help.
Who should apply
The workshop is open to Legal and IT representatives from city governments who have experience in open records management, as well as journalists, civic advocates, and technologists who work with or build for open records processes.
Travel support
Selected city, civic, and journalism participants are eligible for travel reimbursement of up to $1,000 and sponsored tickets to the GovAI Coalition Summit.
