Brittany Peats

Assistant Director

Brittany Peats is an Assistant Director at Partners for Public Good, where she facilitates the Food for Public Good Collaborative. The Collaborative provides a peer learning space for local government officials charged with implementing values-based food procurement policies which align the food purchases of their public institutions with the values of their residents.

Previously, she supported state institutions in Maine to expand local food purchasing which advanced climate goals, increased access to fresh food, and strengthened the local food economy. Before that, she led networks around local food policy councils, food waste reduction, and food literacy at the Massachusetts Food System Collaborative. She also worked at Project Bread, the City of Boston’s Office of Food Initiatives, and Food Link.

Brittany has an M.S. in food policy and applied nutrition from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University; an M.A. in print journalism from Boston University; and a B.A. from Vassar College.
