Evan Karl
Evan Karl is an Associate currently supporting Partners for Public Good’s procurement excellence portfolio. In this role, Evan continues to advance the Procurement Excellence Network, while also leading efforts to establish new standards of procurement excellence that help governments benchmark and improve procurement outcomes. Prior to joining PPG, Evan was a Government Innovation Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Government Performance Lab, where he worked to enhance government procurement processes through innovative practices. Before that, he served in the NYC Mayor’s Office, where he directed a team responsible for executing a citywide food distribution program at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and oversaw a host of community-facing initiatives designed to amplify civic engagement and enhance public service delivery. Outside of his 9-5 roles, Evan’s commitment to public service is also reflected in his work as a community organizer and active participation in progressive political campaigns.
Evan graduated with a Master’s in Public Affairs (MPA) from Princeton University, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Amherst College, and has taken coursework at New College, University of Oxford and UMass Amherst’s School of Public Policy.
